1.  Who you are and the nature of the disability impacting your son/daughter

2.  The importance of state funded programs for persons with disabilities

3.  Express disappointment over Illinois over reliance on institutional settings.

4.  That the need is significant to provide more support to community-based disability programs;

5.  The difficulties that organizations have in finding sufficient, qualified staff;

6.  The impact that this will have on the lives of people with developmental disabilities.

We must continue to do everything possible to bring Illinois up to the national average in its funding of community developmental disability support programs.
